Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, mailing address, phone number (including mobile number), the substance of your inquiry, and any documents or facts you choose to share with us. We may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral source, through standard web analytics.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we can assist you;
- To provide legal services if you become a client;
- To send appointment, case status, billing, and other service-related communications (including SMS/text messages, where you have opted in);

- To operate, secure, and improve our website.
3. SMS / text messaging program
If you provide your mobile number and opt in to receive text messages from Schumacher Lane PLLC, we may send you messages relating to consultations, appointments, case updates, document requests, billing reminders, and responses to questions you have sent us.
- Opt-in. You opt in by providing your mobile number through our website contact form, by explicitly requesting text communication, or by texting us first. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of retaining the firm or receiving legal services.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your matter and our communications with you.
- Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
- HELP. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at (210) 541-2154 or josh@schumacherlane.com.
- STOP. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further text messages. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts from the program.
- Supported carriers. Carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and their affiliates, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. No sharing of mobile information for marketing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information sharing described in this Privacy Policy exclude mobile phone numbers and text messaging opt-in data; that information will not be shared with any third party for marketing purposes.
Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except subcontractors that help us deliver the messaging service (for example, our messaging provider), and only as needed to send the messages you have requested.
5. How we share information generally
Outside the mobile-information limits above, we may share information:
- With service providers that help us operate the firm (such as our practice management, e-mail, telephone, messaging, and hosting providers), subject to confidentiality obligations;
- With courts, opposing counsel, government agencies, or other parties when required to represent you or comply with law;
- To enforce our rights or protect against fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity; and
- In connection with the sale, merger, or reorganization of the firm, subject to applicable rules of professional conduct.
6. Attorney–client communications and confidentiality
Submitting an inquiry through this website does not create an attorney–client relationship. An attorney–client relationship is formed only after we have conducted a conflicts check and signed a written engagement letter with you. Until then, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use a limited number of cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work as intended.
